NextDoor – NextDoor is an app that connects neighbors within neighborhoods. For example, if you need a handyman, you can reach out and ask for recommendations or even ask directly for help with specific tasks. It also has items for sale or to give away, and you can do the same.

North Central Texas Area Agency on Aging – We provide services and resources that help older adults maximize their quality of life and live as independently as possible. By providing information, education, and direct services, we help individuals meet basic needs and make informed decisions.
North Central Texas Aging and Disability Resource Center – The North Central Texas Aging and Disability Resource Center (NCTADRC) is funded by Texas Health and Human Services and led by the North Central Texas Council of Governments, with support from many partner agencies. One notable benefit is this agency provides caregiver respite grants on a limited basis. Watch here for information on these grants when they become available. Call 855-937-2372.
The Senior Source – The Senior Source is dedicated to providing Dallas area seniors and their families with the services, programs, tools and the resources necessary to THRIVE.
Ramps.org – A resource for information on building wheelchair ramps for homes and businesses. Includes information on free ramps.
Mesothelioma Support – Mesothelioma is a deadly form of cancer caused from asbestos exposure. Due to the long latency period of mesothelioma, approximately 20-50 years, about 80% of those who are diagnosed with this terrible disease are seniors. Our organization works 1-on-1 with these individuals to help them find local doctors, treatment centers and support groups.

Friends Place Adult Day Services – Friends Place Adult Day Services is dedicated to providing specialized daytime care and programs for individuals with Alzheimer’s or other dementias; which will enable them to maintain a life with dignity, meaning & purpose, while remaining as independent as possible. Friends Place is located in Richardson and DeSoto.
Silverado FlexCare – Respite care can help caregivers avoid the phenomenon known as caregiver burnout by providing temporary care for loved ones in a safe, engaging environment. Silverado has several locations in DFW.
Abell Companions – Abell Companions’ caregivers deliver high-quality customized care for individuals with all kinds of different needs.
Visiting Nurse Association of Texas (VNA) – VNA is a nonprofit organization that helps our elderly neighbors and loved ones maintain their independence by providing the services that allow them to age where they are happiest and most comfortable – at home. VNA provides hospice care, Meals on Wheels, private care and other aging resources.
Home Watch Caregivers – Homewatch CareGivers was founded on the idea that individuals should receive kind, compassionate, and qualified care tailored to their unique needs and in their preferred surroundings. We know that it can be overwhelming to welcome a stranger into the home. Because of that, we train our professionals not just on high-quality care but on interpersonal relationships as well.
Camp Conquer : Camp Conquer offers a safe and nurturing environment for children 8-14 who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Through a 3 day program, Camp Conquer offers children the ability to understand their grief and learn they are not alone. They often find that there are many children experiencing similar situations and feelings.
